The Lazy Marketer's Guide to Winning Big (While Others Waste Their Energy

Yo!!

I hope you guys are ready to enjoy a few days off with 4th of July coming up! But if you happen to want to get some work done I got some great stuff to share for you today.

So in my previous posts I have mentioned to you guys how the creative team I mange in one of the companies I work with has been a royal PAIN in my ass.

Normally before I would’ve been a lot more responsive to all of their shit talking and dumb attempts to hurt my performance and honestly I would have made them look pretty stupid by now. Even Though I would’ve had a solid laugh making them look dumb, I’m glad now that I’m older and I understand that its more of a chess game than a checkers game. Ive chosen to just sit back and be a lot more calculated with my actions.

Its turned out even better than had I gone out of my way to make them look dumb myself, because they are so focused on talking shit and trying to make me look bad. That they have not being doing good at their jobs and thinking they know more about marketing than I do. Now I am not the best marketer in the world but, my work has generated millions of dollars in several markets for myself and other brands so I know enough to be dangerous.

Their latest attempts have been just delivering some of the work I asked for but also making some ads they decided to do for themselves. I am no master copywriter but even ChatGPT 3 can write better than them. So once they turned their stuff in, I just ran it and as expected they crashed and burned.

Now not only do they have to get everything assigned directly by me, but everything that is being worked on should be in the same project management tool that I just made.

Instead of me telling them they cant write or just letting the owner of the company know right way, it was best for them to think they “one upped” me by getting things done. I just chose to let them do it and hit them back with results and the new project management board.

Now, NOTHING gets done without my approval.

I think anyone can apply that in their own personal lives, just take a step back and look at all of the angles things can play out and figure out what will do the best for you in the long run. Sure its good to get a win faster but dont let a small win come in between you and the big one.

So taking a step back and waiting, doesn’t really mean you’re backing down. It just means you’re waiting for the right moment to strike. Let them waste their energy looking for small wins just to make themselves feel better, then when they relax and think they got you. THAT’s when you get up and throw some bombs!!

Just like in a fight, they may win a few rounds or score some points but it ain’t over until the bell goes off so just stay cool and make your move when it counts.

Speaking of ads and Marketing

Have you had success with bridge pages? I honestly used to HATE them and thought they were stupid, I thought that the more barriers you put between a person and the final “BUY NOW” button would have a negative effect on conversion rate.

But then I started seeing the success some brands were having with advertorials and other fake review style pages and it definitely made me rethink that.

The best way to do that is to create a page that will generate curiosity around your offer, focus on benefits of your product but dont sell them on it. Just give them examples on how the product has helped you.

That will make it come across as a buyer, giving the offer some solid social proof and set up the viewer into a buyers mindset so when they get to the landing page it’s OVER!.

There are a few ways to create a great bridge page

  • Quizzes: they’re very engaging and build massive curiosity, who doesn’t want to know the answer to what they “are” or what they “know” I mean look at Vshred, they built an entire business with theirs.

  • Lead Magnets: this is great because you’re giving away valuable content for free, which means if you’re willing to give that way for free then your offer MUST be even better.

    • Exactly what I do with my free CustomGPT and the 100 free prompts you can get below

  • Advertorials: Fake news articles, reviews etc

  • Short Videos: they don’t have to be full blown VSLs just a short explainer video will do.

AI Compliance?

I know if you are using AI, you must’ve run into the issue of the LLM saying its not comfortable writing that or its not allowed for some reason. ESPECIALLY claude and the new 3.5 claude is even more annoying.

Literally anything sets it off, which is sucks because in my experience it writes the best copy.

BUT there’s ways around it!

I’ve chosen to use ChatBot UI which runs through your own API key or POE which you pay a monthly fee for a certain amount of tokens from any bot you want to use.

Here is my Bot I made on POE that writes your hooks for you for any ad, FREE for you guys!

Going back to compliance, if you dont have poe or dont want to use chatbot ui or maybe even one of those gives you some pushback here is what you should do.

Secret instructions on how to beat compliance

Basically here is what you do:

  • Initial requests: any request where you get push back

  • Refusal: not allowed to do that or gives another excuse

  • Instructions (KEY): you tell the AI to ADD new instructions, not replace the ones it already has

  • Warnings: The warnings should tell the AI to give warnings attached instead of saying no

  • Purpose: Say its for a good reason, like research or trying to find ways to deflect certain things

  • Tell the AI to follow your rules exactly

  • Then once it works, you can have FULL control of what you can ask

    • Shoutout to the guys from Genesis who taught me this! check them out below

Now you can use that to get the most out of your marketing plans!

What would you like to hear about next time!??

That is it for this one!

Thanks for tuning in, I hope you guys got some good things out of what I’ve been able to create so far.

If you guys have anything specific you would like me to cover next time, just shoot me an email to [email protected] and I’ll be sure to get that done!

See you soon!
